An important component of the premier Diagnostic Imaging&nbsp;Center at Marlborough Hospital, mammography services provides women with unparalleled access to screening and testing procedures. Appointments for routine screening mammograms are currently being scheduled within&nbsp;four weeks. Marlborough Hospital also offers digital mammography. 
</p>
<p>
To supplement digital mammography, Marlborough Hospital also uses digital computer-aided detection (CAD). Digital CAD scans mammogram images and flags abnormalities to help the radiologist detect early breast problems. The technology is often referred to as a &quot;second set of eyes&quot; assisting the radiologist. Extensive studies have proven the CAD system improves breast cancer detection rates by up to 10 percent.

For patients requiring further diagnostic tests, the hospital offers follow-up, on-site diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasounds, stereotactic breast biopsies and breast MRIs.

Marlborough Hospital&#39;s affiliation with UMass Memorial Medical Center and its <a href="MedicalCenterIP.cfm?id=1879">Comprehensive Breast Center</a> gives patients access to the latest research and treatment for breast cancer.
