Asthma Comanagement Program

Learn from the experts! The Asthma Comanagement Program at UMass Memorial Medical Center gives adult asthmatics the most up-to-date information on asthma medications, control techniques and comanagement methods to use in understanding and taking control of their asthma. This group program teaches participants how to comanage their asthma with the assistance of their health care providers.
A behavioral psychologist, renowned pulmonary physicians and certified asthma educator nurses lead group meetings to teach participants how to identify early warning signs and triggers of asthma and how to prevent life-threatening attacks.
The program runs for five weeks in the fall, spring and summer, and meets one evening per week. The cost is $50 (self pay). Participants may bring a friend or family member.
