Clinton Hospital is one of the most affordable hospitals in Massachusetts and the UMass Memorial Health Care system. We also offer some of the shortest wait times for emergency department visits, diagnostic testing and specialist appointments. As such, it is extremely important that we continue to deliver the high-quality health care to which our patients are accustomed, in a safe and comfortable setting. We are in the midst of building a state-of-the-art emergency department to address our community’s needs. This new 14,000-square-foot department, which will open in the summer of 2013, will make both the delivery and receipt of health care a better experience for everyone, from our staff to our patients and their family members.
Not only are we focused on growing and delivering exceptional care within the walls of Clinton Hospital, but we are expanding that patient-centered experience throughout our community as well. A few years ago, we opened a beautiful new family medicine office in Sterling, and since that time have been adding physicians to meet the needs of our community. We currently have three physicians in this busy practice and are working on recruiting a fourth physician in 2013.
Delivering an outstanding patient experience is our ultimate goal. As you’ve heard us say in the past, we don’t want our patients to simply be cared for, but of equal importance, feel cared for as well. This practice is proven in our patient satisfaction scores, which place Clinton Hospital as a state leader in this area. All of our employees work very hard at putting our patients’ needs first and approaching health care from the patient’s perspective.
