Does your fear of falling keep you home more often than you’d like? Here’s your chance to put your fears to rest and learn how to prevent and manage falls so you can confidently get back to your life! Clinton Hospital, in collaboration with Oriol Health Care, is offering a free falls prevention program entitled, A Matter of Balance. This eight-week session aims to teach participants how to lower their risk of falling through strength and balance exercises, and by making small changes in their homes. The program will also share tips on how to control falls and minimize fall-related injuries.
An informational session will be held Tuesday, September 25 at 10 am in conference rooms A and B at Clinton Hospital, 201 Highland Street, Clinton, with classes taking place subsequent Tuesdays from October 2 through November 20, 9 to 11 am in the same location.
This program is appropriate for anyone who has fallen in the past, those who are concerned about falling, and anyone interested in improving balance, flexibility and strength. For more information or to register, contact Rosa Fernandez at 978-368-3716.
