CLINTON - William McGrail, Esq., chairman of Clinton
Hospital's Board of Trustees, recently announced the appointment of Willis
Chandler, senior vice president of business development for UMass Memorial
Health Care, to the Clinton Hospital Board of Trustees.
"I believe Mr. Chandler will be a great asset to Clinton Hospital's Board of
Trustees," stated Atty. McGrail. "He holds Clinton Hospital in high regard and
brings a wealth of experience from his tenure with UMass Memorial Health Care,
which will be instrumental as we plan for Clinton Hospital's future."
During his seven-year tenure with UMass Memorial, Mr. Chandler's
responsibilities have migrated from overseeing adult critical care services to
capital planning for UMass Memorial Medical Center. In his current role, which
he has held for the past three years, Mr. Chandler works closely with the CEOs
of all UMass Memorial Health Care member hospitals, as well as UMass Memorial
Medical Group senior leadership, and chairs, chiefs and vice presidents of
Medical Center clinical areas, to offer more care locally and ensure that all
UMass Memorial entities are fully integrated.
"Joining Clinton Hospital's Board of Trustees is very exciting for me. It
will allow me to see our organization through a different lens," said Mr.
Chandler. "The future of health care is the value proposition we offer to our
patients. Under health care reform, we need to offer high clinical quality at a
competitive cost. Clinton Hospital does a great job of delivering on this
critical value proposition. It is an integral provider of community care - and
that's what we're all about."
