LEOMINSTER – HealthAlliance Home Health & Hospice (HAHHH) gives back as they donate 69 cell phones and chargers to the “Cell Phones for Soldiers” program.
The clinical staff uses cell phones to stay in contact with patients, many of whom are veterans. Recently, they upgraded their cell phone equipment and thought to donate the old phones. The HealthAlliance Home Health & Hospice team decided to send the phones to the “Cell Phones for Soldiers” program as a wonderful opportunity to support our troops. The cell phones are sent for recycling, which enables “Cell Phones for Soldiers” to purchase calling cards for military personnel making it possible for them stay in contact with their loved ones on the other side of the world. The Fitchburg Veteran’s Administration recently became a public drop off location for the program.
HealthAlliance Home Health & Hospice is a certified homecare agency and licensed hospice that services the North Central Massachusetts area, providing patient care in private homes, assisted living facilities, and skilled nursing facilities. HAHHH services include nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, home health aides, certified volunteers, social worker and bereavement support and serve hundreds of patients per month.
