FITCHBURG - At the Burbank Child Development Center, the staff strive to provide a safe, warm, nurturing environment that welcomes and supports children, family and staff. The team works together to provide every child with the support and guidance needed to reach their full potential. All of the center's programs place equal emphasis on emotional, intellectual, physical and social growth.

"Our classrooms are carefully planned environments where focus is placed on the process of learning," explained Sherri Dinsmore, director of the Burbank Child Development Center.  "Each child is encouraged to create, explore, problem solve and investigate through hands-on, learning experiences."

Programs include: infant, toddler, preschool and prekindergarten full day programs; preschool and prekindergarten partial day programs; introduction to preschool; kindergarten readiness and summer camp for children 3 to 6 years of age.

"Our children are so happy here and they look forward to coming to school. When we came back from vacation, Rachel ran into school and gave her teacher the biggest hug!" said Angela O'Neil, a HealthAlliance Hospital employee and mother of Colin and Rachel who attend the Center. She adds, "Colin wanted to go to school instead of seeing Toy Story III! That's saying something about how much they love their school and the teachers."
