Emergency Care Summary

HealthAlliance Hospital provides high-quality emergency services for both adults and children at our hospital in Leominster.

As a member of UMass Memorial Health Care, HealthAlliance Hospital patients have convenient access to the Duddie Massad Emergency and Trauma Center, the region's only accredited Level One Trauma Center for adults and children. Patients requiring the advanced services of a trauma center can be rapidly transferred by LifeFlight air ambulance. 

Emergency Department on the Leominster Campus
The Emergency Department on the Leominster Campus offers emergency care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Emergency services are provided for a wide range of injuries and illnesses. The Emergency Department features life-saving technology and is staffed by a team of experienced emergency medicine physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses with certification in advanced cardiac life support, critical care technicians and other health care providers.

HealthAlliance Hospital is a state designated Primary Stroke Service Center. Our Emergency Department has advanced telemedicine technology, which allows stroke specialists at major academic medical centers to examine patients in real time through the use of specialized audiovisual equipment.

We also offer Urgent Care services on our Burbank Campus in Fitchburg.
