Our pediatric hospitalists are available immediately to treat clinical conditions as they arise and to provide ongoing testing and monitoring as needed. The pediatric hospitalists also provide consultation to the emergency room and other specialists.
Our pediatric hospitalists provide family-centered care and coordinate the care of your child with your outside pediatrician, keeping him or her informed of the child's condition, progress, and plan for discharge. If transfer of your child should become necessary, the pediatric hospitalist will discuss this with you and coordinate with nursing and case management to transition your child to another facility.
In partnership with the UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center, the Pediatric Hospitalist Program at HealthAlliance Hospital, located on our Leominster Campus, coordinates and provides the best care for our inpatients.
Staffed by hospital-based pediatricians, known as pediatric hospitalists, our team offers families the comfort of knowing that a pediatrician is on-site to direct and coordinate all aspects of their child's care.
The pediatric hospitalist takes primary responsibility for inpatient care working closely with the referring physician.
