At HealthAlliance Hospital, we have always been dedicated to providing our
patients the highest quality health care possible. Our Patient and Family
Advisory Council (PFAC) is an extension of this effort by allowing us to hear
directly from patients and family members about the care they have received at
our hospital or one of our five outpatient medical centers.
PFAC is an active partnership of health care providers and patients with the
goals to:
- Strengthen communication and collaboration among patients, families,
caregivers and staff
- Promote patient/family advocacy and involvement
- Propose and participate in hospital programs, services and policies
The majority of PFAC members are patients and family members, who comprise
two-thirds of the PFAC, while hospital staff makes up the balance of the
committee. Nonstaff members of the committee play an important role by
participating in various hospital activities, which include, but are not limited
to:
- Attending specific hospital committees
- Making recommendations for improvement
- Participating in educational sessions for clinical and nonclinical staff
- Providing feedback on services received and suggesting new services
If you or someone you know is interested in joining the committee, please Patty Adams, Administrative Coordinator, Quality Management,

information.
