Appoints New Medical Director
Marlborough, MA (January 16, 2013) – With convenience and increased access to high-quality, bone, joint and muscle care in mind, Marlborough Hospital—in partnership with the UMass Memorial Medical Center--has expanded its musculoskeletal services with the addition of a new orthopedic surgeon. Allis Kim, MD, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, is now on staff at the hospital. Dr. Kim brings with her a special interest in sports medicine, rotator cuff repair as well as knee and shoulder surgery. Her clinical expertise will further enhance the comprehensive musculoskeletal service line currently at the hospital which includes joint replacement, knee and shoulder surgery, fracture care, sports medicine as well as physical therapy and rehabilitation. To facilitate this growth, Marlborough Hospital has named Donald Hangen, MD, as the service line’s new medical director.
In his new role, Dr. Hangen will be focusing on ensuring the hospital’s high-quality bone, joint and muscle care are maintained across the hospital’s wide and varied service line offerings.

Dr. Hangen is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who received his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program and was fellowship trained in sports medicine at Harvard/Massachusetts General Hospital.
