Marlborough, MA, (September 27, 2012) – Karen O. Moore, president and CEO of Marlborough Hospital has announced that Teri Hegarty has been selected as the new director of marketing and communications at Marlborough Hospital.
Before joining Marlborough Hospital, Hegarty was the marketing and public relations manager at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA. While there she earned two Lamplighter Awards from the New England Society for Healthcare Communications for her work on the hospital’s employee newsletter and for her part in promoting one of the hospital’s successful LEAN initiatives.
Her extensive career includes marketing and public relations work for other area hospitals, social service agencies and a local educational publisher. Hegarty earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Boston College as well as a master’s degree in public administration from Framingham State. She is also playwright and a collage artist whose work was recently exhibited at the Thayer Memorial Library in Lancaster, MA.
