The Partial Hospital Program at Marlborough Hospital is a voluntary, short-term, structured, intensive group-therapy program that runs Monday through Friday, 9 am to 3 pm. Patients in this program have either completed an inpatient stay or it is an alternative to being admitted to an inpatient mental health setting. The expected length of the program is 10 days which is dependent upon insurance authorization and patients’ progress in treatment.
The program helps patients focus on increasing coping skills and stabilizing symptoms. The primary goals of treatment are to address life management skills, explore cognitive and behavioral changes, identify feelings and learn to express feelings. Progress toward these goals helps in the development of independent and healthy lifestyles.
While in the Partial Hospital Program patients will receive:
- Intensive group therapy and psycho-education
- Medication evaluation and management
- Individual and family therapy as needed
- Assistance with after-care planning
The Partial Hospital Program provides confidential services performed by licensed clinicians and board-certified psychiatrists.
