MedWorks Occupational Health Services, located at 28 Newton Street, Southborough, provides a broad range of job-related medical services. MedWorks was established in 1987 to help employers meet regulatory requirements and to keep their workers safe, healthy and productive. MedWorks contracts directly with individual businesses and governmental agencies to provide medical care in areas such as:
- Audiograms
- Department of Transportation (DOT) Consortium for Random Drug and Alcohol Testing
- Drug screenings
- Breath alcohol testing
- DOT and National Institute of Drug Abuse testing
- Substance abuse panels including SAP, SAP5, DSU/THC for preplacement, postaccident, reasonable suspicion and random testing
- Urine collection and laboratory/medical officer review services

MedWorks is staffed by a physician who specializes in occupational health and serves as a medical review officer. Other staff includes nurse practitioners, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and health educators.
