Since Marlborough Hospital's founder and first contributor, Hannah Bigelow,
MD, made a $5,000 gift in the 1890s to help start a hospital in Marlborough, the
generosity of many individuals, organizations, corporations and foundations has
helped Marlborough Hospital save and change lives.
Today, the Marlborough Hospital Development Office has the responsibility to
raise funds that help the hospital with its ongoing goal of providing quality
patient care. Community support is very important as the hospital strives to
become one of the leading community hospitals in the country.
