Discovering and Delivering Compassionate, Coordinated Care
We offer a wide range of chemotherapies, which are drugs used to kill cancer cells, shrink tumors and possibly prevent cancer from spreading.
Chemotherapy may be given as a pill, by injection or through a vein (intravenous). If you need intravenous chemotherapy, you're treated in our outpatient infusion area staffed by our skilled oncology nurses.
Chemotherapy is used in a number of ways:
- As the primary treatment of your cancer
- In combination with radiation treatments
- Before or after surgery
- To ease symptoms caused by your cancer
In addition to chemotherapy, your care may include treatments such as innovative, targeted therapies such as monoclonal antibodies and targeted oral agents.
Our nursing staff will provide you with specific information regarding management of potential side effects.
Ambulatory Care Center
To match the world-class care provided for you, many outpatient cancer care services are located in our Ambulatory Care Center, which offers:
- Spacious and comfortable waiting, treatment and exam rooms
- Private and semi-private infusion rooms
- Quiet contemplative space
- Beautiful views of Lake Quinsigamond
