Palliative Care Trial Underway

Docket# 14708

The Cancer Patient as Teacher Pilot Study aims to evaluate a novel approach where patients with stage 3 or 4 cancer are invited to teach medical students about what they wish doctors knew about their experience with cancer and cancer care, and what matters most to them. The goals of this study are to evaluate the feasibility of “patient as teacher” narratives and to evaluate their effect on patients’ quality of life.
