The Hanshaw Pediatric Hospitalist Service at UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center, located on our University Campus in Worcester, is a pediatric hospital medicine program coordinating and providing the best care for our inpatients.
Staffed by hospital-based pediatricians, known as pediatric hospitalists, our team offers families the comfort of knowing that a pediatrician is on-site to direct and coordinate all aspects of their child's care.
As a key member of the health care team with direct access to all of the specialists and services available, the pediatric hospitalist takes primary responsibility for inpatient care, working closely with the referring physician.
