Because you're a key partner with us in improving your health and well-being, we personalize your type 1 diabetes care to fit your unique health and lifestyle needs. You also benefit from point-of-care hemoglobin A1c testing and onsite retinal screening with retinal photos.
In collaboration with MyCareTeam, UMass Memorial is the first health care provider to offer an online diabetes management system that allows individuals with diabetes to communicate data from their meter to their provider via our Allscripts electronic medical record system. A continuous glucose monitoring service is available to allow us to adjust insulin dosing and improve glucose levels.
In addition to our Medical Center's adult type 1 diabetes services, our Children's Medical Center offers care for your child's type 1 diabetes and related complications, as well as a transition program for adolescents transferring their care from pediatric to adult providers.
