Pharmacy Practice Residency

Our Pharmacy Practice Residency Program is tailored to appeal to an individual desiring a well-rounded hospital pharmacy practice experience. Our residents have the opportunity to provide pharmaceutical care in a variety of patient care settings. Rotations include cardiology, pediatrics, infectious diseases, critical care medications management and internal medicine.

Elective rotations are offered to meet individual resident needs and may include emergency medicine, hematology/oncology, solid organ transplant, toxicology, cardiothoracic surgery, neonatal ICU, ambulatory care and teaching.

Our residents provide 24-hour clinical services through an in-house on-call program. They participate in code blue, trauma and stroke response; a pharmacy-led inpatient anticoagulation service and a pharmacist-led acute myocardial infarction care team.

In addition, they have the opportunity to develop communication and teaching skills by attending monthly advanced seminars, providing didactic lectures and precepting pharmacy students.
