Following the well-known phrase “like father, like son,” William Crooks, MD, decided to pursue a career in medicine because his father was a doctor and, like many a young boy, he wanted to be just like him.
After medical school and residency Dr. Crooks went into practice in a city where he feels at home – Worcester.
While the desire to follow in his father’s footsteps led Dr. Crooks into medicine, his patients are the reason he’s practiced in the area for more than 30 years. Internal medicine has allowed him to meet a wide variety of people, which is something Dr. Crooks loves most about his job. He also enjoys the challenges his job presents as well as working with his talented staff.
Dr. Crooks believes in caring for patients, not diseases. He feels this philosophy of care – which is the same as his father’s – matters most to patients when seeking a primary care physician. By practicing in a manner similar to his father’s, it is easy to see why Dr. Crooks’ patients think so highly of him and the care he delivers.
