<li><strong>Family medicine</strong>: Family physicians care for patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly. Some family medicine physicians provide maternity care.</li>
<li><strong>Internal medicine</strong>: A primary care physician who specializes in adult internal medicine, specifically the diagnosis and nonsurgical treatment of diseases. </li>
<li><strong>Geriatric medicine</strong>: A primary care specialty focused on the care of elderly patients.</li>
