Volunteers at Wing Memorial Hospital are dedicated individuals who share time, talent and enthusiasm. They make Wing Memorial Hospital a warm and welcoming place for patients, staff and other volunteers.
Over the course of a year, more than 75 volunteers give 6,000 hours of time to Wing Memorial Hospital. Some volunteer positions are limited in duration while others are staffed throughout the year.
The hospital offers a variety of benefits to volunteers, including food and beverages, free registration to educational seminars and classes, free use of the video library, and discounts on health and fitness and hospital-sponsored activities.
Adult Volunteers
Each applicant is interviewed personally and placed in a volunteer position that suits the applicant's interests as well as the current needs of the hospital. Volunteers work in every department of Wing Memorial Hospital and at Wing Medical Centers in Belchertown, Ludlow, Monson, Palmer and Wilbraham.
Student Volunteers (ages 15 and older)
Teens and older students are invited to volunteer at Wing Memorial Hospital and its medical centers to meet internship requirements and to fulfill community service responsibilities. Student volunteers can serve throughout the year. Interests of the applicant and current needs of the hospital are used for placing student volunteers.
